Surgery Started
Grace went into surgery at 7:30 am sharp. She took in her favorite stuffed teddy bear named Slumbers. Not one negative word or complaint from Grace, she is strong.

Grace Wohlberg is a 12 year old with Rasmussen's Encephalitis (RE). RE is a highly destructive neurological condition that results in uncontrollable epilpetic seizures and paralysis in one side of the body. Hemisphrectomy surgery removes 1/2 of the brain in an attempt to control the seizures. Scroll down for more information. The RE Children's Project funds research focused on finding a cure for RE, for more recent updates on Grace go to www.rechildrens.com/blog
I don't remember how I even found your blog but have kept up with Grace's progress for the past year. I've never responded to anything before on the internet but want you to know that I have held Grace in my prayers and continue to do so. When Grace is feeling better, tell her that she has been an inspiration to people many years her senior. She is a trooper. Will also continue to keep you and your family in my prayers too as I can imagine what you all have been thru too...Tova from Texas
ReplyDeleteThinking of you all.
ReplyDeleteGrace,

Hope you feel better and better everyday. That's all for now Grace...sending a card your way soon.
